　　Rick Mikula, known as "the

Grandfather of Butterfly Farming," owns Hole-in-Hand Butterfly Farm

and has designed butterfly habitats for Hershey Gardens, Dollywood,

and many other gardens, zoos and parks worldwide. Rick ia a

consultant to many aviaries and butterfly farms in North, Central,

and South America, and he gives hundreds of lectures and workshops

each year. He is the author of several books, including Garden

Butterflies of North America.

  这样的题材太稀罕了，因为作者不仅亲身沉浸在美式霸权男权文化的中心，以及标志性的辩论模式，并清醒地看到各种弊端，在讲述家族故事的时候又有意识地嵌套进种族和民族文化挪用等战后议题，从某种角度讲，这种将理论、术语和小说形式结合的写作方式是我们的文坛十分欠缺的，或该说：不可能不欠缺的。

  原来这就是1991年10月巴蜀书社出的同名丛书的修订版。我读的是老版，减掉的一星给当年普遍不讲究的印刷。
